Bis-C60-C6-PA, also known as bisFAPA, is used as an Electron Transport Layer perovskite solar cells. BisFAPA improves energy level alignment between perovskite materials and conductive metal oxide materials used as the cathode in the Solar Cell.*
In addition, bisFAPA is also understood to reduce interface recombination and suppress ion migration at the interface of the ETL and Perovskite layers.
In some device stacks, bisFAPA can provide a performance increase over monoFAPA due to improved interaction with metal oxide ETLs.
